ah, thanks....skysthelimit said:If you go on the firefox website, it clearly says to uninstall the previous verson of firefox before upgrading. If you have any plug ins (like I do) then copy them to another folder so they don't get deleted. You should never ever install a new version of software over an old one. Always uninstall first. Things can happen. Hope this helps.

Thank God that I have XP.... *whew*Lollard said:Yes they can. If you have XP it saves your settings in your personal profile folder even after you uninstall the program. If you don't then, I am not sure what you should do.
