I can self-identity as postmodern and/or emergent, but I'm a charismatic conservative evangelical otherwise. I'm happy with my status of "honorary non-voting member" (thanks, Rochir!), which is the best I can do while being a CC member. That is, I don't agree with the WWMC folks on a lot of theology, but you guys sure are great company!For the purposes of these rules, the term "Liberal" is meant to apply to all Christians who self-identify as Liberal, progressive, postmodern, or emergent.
Neither do I. I define myself as a centrist. NOT a moderate (someone who's in between every issue). I am firm in my beliefs. Some fall into the conservative camp and some into the liberal. I don't think either side has a lock on the truth. For example (without getting into the reasons), I'm firmly Pro-life (conservative) and firmly pro-gay marriage (Liberal). This forum accepted me as a part Liberal. Funny thing is I applied to the Conservative forum too, since I fit both camps, and was told nope. Ah well.I don't define myself as liberal. :o

The Pomo people are a linguistic branch of Native American people of Northern California. They live on the Pacific Coast in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area between Cleone and Duncan's Point, and inland to Clear Lake. A separate group speaking a language of the same family, called the Northeastern Pomo, also lived near Stonyford.
Same here...WHile I belong to a UCC congregation, I'm far from liberal. however, when it comes to faith, for me...liberal is the way to go. I feel it allows for less doors to be closed, and is more welcoming to ALL. Conservative faiths are too much associated with THEIR rules, and what IS acceptable by THEIR terms, etc..." I don't go for that. When it comes to Jesus, and faith..ALL ARE WELCOME AT THIS TABLE!!! However, coming from a conservative religious background, I all to often see preachers pounding the lecturne or preaching what is unacceptable, and what will throw you into the firey waters of hell, etc... I agree with you on what's the right attitude for a Christ-follower.
