Well one of the many "Help IDing Santanic Music" thread got me thinking and this is what has come of it. So what would Jesus listen to? I think it's fair to say that these are givens:
The Beatles
The Dead
The Rolling Stones
Bob Dylan
And I like to think maybe some Outkast if he felt like dancing.

I always figured Jesus would listen to some Christian music... but hey, that might just be me. He only said to glorify God in everything you do
He did, that is why he created The Beatles and Pink Floyd. Christian music is written by third rate hacks and played by ameteur musicians.....

Note: I was just joking!!

That's an interesting opinion though. Christian music still bypasses secular (even though secular is many times of higher quality) just because it lifts glory to the God who deserves it. I'd have to respectfully disgree though and say that there are Christian artists who are better than given the credit for. But hey... I think Jesus would listen to Lucia Micarelli!!

The Lord will listen to good music, Mozart and Beethoven come to mind as well. the Lord loves someone who actually polishes the talents that he gives them. On that count, Christian musicians get a D+ in my book. There is much secular music that praises the Lord, without the 3 year old lyrics of most so-called christian music. Just like the Left Behind books, where it is the same book over and over again.......
