Would it be wrong for God to let everyone into Heaven?

I heard of a theologian who said there was no Biblical evidence of anyone being in Hell. What if God is into open door immigration into Heaven? Would that be okay?

Sure. God is allegedly omnipotent, so there would be no problem protecting the good people in heaven, and God could always deny the evil people tasty desserts while the good people enjoy those in front of them.

As mere mortals with less knowledge, shorter lifespans, less wisdom than God how can we decide something God does is wrong?

Simple. By using our judgment. That's all that is required.

I suspect that, for some Christians, one of the rewards of heaven is knowing that the people who did wrong by them and didn't adopt their ways will be burning for an eternity.

What you are saying here is that you think Christians are hateful people then.

I most certainly do not like to think of the people in my family who died without knowing Christ...also the ones who reject Him who are still alive. This gives me great sadness. But it is their choice...we have free will. It will not be God that will determine where they end up....but by their own choice they will take responsiblity where they end up.

I do not believe for one minute that after I die and with God that I will ever know they existed. There are no tears and sadness in Heaven......why would God allow me to know then where they ended up. I do believe that hell is the absence of God and those who end up their will be aware of those who are not with them.

I love my family and friends and I don't want anyone to spend eternity without God....Knowing my family and friends did not make it........would be no reward in heaven.

"For some Christians" is right. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. (that includes ol' Lucy himself!)

Yep, that's why I made sure to say "some"

I've talked with a few people that have said that if everyone got into heaven (like the Universalists believe), then the reward would not be as great for the believers, because they would know that they made sacrifices to get there while the others got to do whatever they wanted and still got in.

That's not at all what I said.

I said "some".

But the premise you bring up I find odd, so rather than enlightenment once you get to heaven, he's going to give you the "Men in Black" treatment and wipe out your memory?!?

There wouldn't be much point to being christian....

Which says a lot more about christianity than it does god or heaven.

Not only would that be okay, I believe he would be morally obligated to to do so.

Like people who want to move to a neighborhood with good neighbors?

I would love it. That would make my day.

But what if anyone could do anything they wanted to here on earth and there would be no negative consequences here on earth?

What if no STD's existed? If you're liberal what if no global warming produced by human behavior existed?

Hmm... what if I was the richest man in the world?

Eh... but consequences exist. I didn't create the rules.
