sometime when I pray my mind likes to intrude/play around with "in satan's name"
to which I my inner dialouge is "no no no!"
and I always try to emphasizes "in Jesus's name"

I don't think I ever completed an Amen with the former thought
but yeah it has me worried, what if I did complete a prayer like that? Obviously I don't mean it, and nor would I ever want to. the idea of that is unsetteling, and well how would my Relationship with God be effected?

Bless yer heart. When distracting thoughts intrude, get yer mind back on God, and ask the Holy Spirit to share yer heart with God. He fills in the gaps, snags, and bumbles that we all experience. FOCUS on God, and keep coming back to focus on Him. Prayers do not have to be long and drawn out. Throughout the day lift your heart very briefly to God, your heavenly Father Who already KNOWS your heart and ask Him to work in yer heart, mind, and spirit to align yer heart and mind with His. In the meantime, praying along with you, in agreement, for Him to intervene, minister, and grant you wisdom, discernment, and clarity, and that He quiets your heart, mind, and spirit as only He can do, and that His peace is yours. Father may it be so, in Jesus name, amen.

This happens to those who try to meditate on God as well. Stay focused. See it as a contest between you and the adversary who is trying to lead you out of your desire to speak to the father.
Focus on your breathing when the thoughts come. Keep praying but be focused, when tempted to distraction, and thereby be distracted to your breathing and concentrate on that, and you shall overcome.
Worked for me.

ah thank you two for your responses
does it disconnect me from God though?
because I worry that if I accidently allow myself to say amen after saying in Satan's name that it might be seen as a contract with him or antyhing, and I want nothing to do with that
I try to rebuke any impure thoughts in Jesus's name while praying

I have the same problem with instructive thoughts. And my reaction is same like yours "No no no I will not think on that!"

I just say : satan, flee from me now, because I am Lord's now, not yours anymore

God knows that these are from satan /daemons, He also knows that you don't really MEAN that.Remember that, stay blessed!

Amen

No it does not. Satan tries to do that but God know this is of satan and it is not because you want to do that. God sees your heart and that you are fighting this intrusive thoughts from the devil.

Thanks for sharing this because the devil does do that to me too in different ways/words

There is the free will clause that I like to bring up. God knows that you say things and mean them. And if you say something and dont mean it he knows that too. Satan influencing that kind of talk is part of all of that. It may be best to work on focus when praying. If anything it will sharpen your attention to the little details. You must always remember and I cant say it enough Satan fights hard to get his hands on our souls. It is up to us and God to fight him. Try to meditate on God often. This will help you to keep focus on God and not worry over Satan sneaking in. Dont fear, you have not done wrong by thinking about this to the point of worry. But I hope you take everyones advice in context and work to no longer worry.
