You must be noticing this: Suddenly, spiritual warfare is in the mainstream.
When this website was started twenty-five years ago, hardly anyone talked about it, outside hardcore Christianity; not even Catholic news sites; one was considered odd–a bit eccentric, or superstitious–for mentioning something like “demons.”Now it’s in the zeitgeist: part of the public conversation.
This especially has been true following the Charlie Kirk horror.
The former television anchor Megyn Kelly? She did a podcast that focused on a curse levied on Kirk by a clutch of witches hired by a malcontent on Etsy. As she (and we) pointed out, that was two days before the shooting. In fact–as Kelly also mentioned–Erika Kirk was so concerned when she heard about the hex that she and Charlie went to see a priest.
The controversial podcaster Candace Owens? She has converted to Catholicism and has no issue mentioning the demonic.
