I agree..
There is no agreement on a very foundational teaching.
Arguing about the curtains is kind of silly when the foundations are messed up.
Actually I guess many are just tired and not just WOF. You know as well as I do that when healing or any other sub ject comes up like that it turns intom a brawl. Worse it is the same stuff that has been argued for five years at least and noone has changed their minds but we have driven off amny people.Or, better yet, those who are not happy posting on this forum why don't you just stick to Charismatic Word of Faith forum. That is also an answer.
Personally, it seems to me that WOF members are the ones who are not happy posting in this forum.

I have no problem with keeping the main forum but I do have a problem with not splitting into different congregational areas. Again I point to the thread on healing, it was started because somebody noticed something and was happy about what God revealed to her, it is now an all out debate once again about in the atonement or not. No, it needs split.I don't think there's anyone who doesn't want to post on the main forum, or they wouldn't post here.
I think this is more about how WoF get upset when other believers don't agree with them. Some WoF seem to think that non-WoF are out to get them.
It's true that non-WoF disagree with WoF about a lot of things, and visa-versa. But if this really bothered anyone, they could stay in their own WoF or non-WoF forum. But they don't! I assume because they like to debate and fellowship with other creeds, but they then they get upset when their beliefs get criticised!
You can't have it both ways.
The answer is twofold:
1. People need to criticise more respectfully (CF already has rules to enforce this)
2. People need to not get so upset because their beliefs are criticised

This right here is an excellent example of what causes strife and why this forum needs splitting up. I ask a question for clarification purposes and when it's replied to I end up get judged and then accused. I'm not only accused of setting traps but also of not wanting to talk about the issues.
It's the typical "Us vs. Them" attitude that permeates this place and makes it stink to high heaven.
Well then why don't we just simply make all of CF one huge forum? We're all one big family. If being Christian is good enough we don't need any Congregational or Faith Groups forums at all.
Maybe that should be my last suggestion, get rid of all Congregational and Faith Group forums.
Why? So all of CF could turn into this and close down. For that is what would happen. I can just now see Catholic doctrine meeting Baptist and so on, wouldnt be anyone left except those who can be the most forceful and actually thrive on stife. I believe Paul had a word about that. But you are not doing much to alleviate it, Neph. In fact, I would say you are more of a contributor to the perceived problem than a solution.
Just sayin'.
Im for that.It will never happen, of course, but I'd be for it.

Actually it does as I know of a forum where many have gone from here and many slide back and forth but it is because of this very thing that they left.It is now 5:15 and we have 15 in the SFPC forum as I type (11 members, 4 visitors). That is about what we have always had. This mythological attrition of members being "driven off" by our debates (discussions) just does not stand up to actuality.

I dunno about that Jim. Like the sinners on either side of Christ... I would say you and I deserve what we get... But I do not recall Neph behaving as badly as I have....But you are not doing much to alleviate it, Neph. In fact, I would say you are more of a contributor to the perceived problem than a solution.
I believe this thread God the HEALER is a good guidance of one of the major issues that clearly divide WOF and Non-WOF. Doctrine of Healing.
I gave up posting in there. Its one of the most troubling issues of this forum.

Well, then if I haven't done much to alleviate it, and actually am more of a contributor to the problem than offering solutions then I guess I simply don't belong in this forum.
Very true, but when the mods enforce this rule the mods then get accused of all kinds of things from being biased to acting like a gestopo.
This I totally agree with and have spoken about in the debate forum. However, in the general SF/C forum we are supposed to, or should be, be free from that. If you want to criticise or debate then do it in the debate forum.
Nope, cause you posted just like I knew you would. You can't resist!Happy ??

Been away for a while and see that things haven't changed at all. The rude ones on both sides of the fence are still rude. I wonder where Christ is in their conversations. *sigh* I only read through the first few pages and could tell that the remaining pages would be much the same. It wasn't all that different when I was here, and it truly is heart-breaking.
I just wanted to reply to one person who I thought debated a good debate. I was done posting with others in there.
