Why does Mark's gospel neglect resurrection?

Scholars believe Mark's gospel is the first one so I am curious to know why it fails to mention the resurrection? The story ends on Jesus's tomb being empty but couldn't a skeptic argue that Matthew and Luke who read and wrote after Mark just embellished to further the claim that Jesus was still alive? Playing devil's advocate to strengthen my faith and understanding.

God did something wonderful when He breathed out the gospel scriptures through men. Each account gives a different perspective of Christ's ministry on earth.

My experience has been that God's Word is like a 3 dimensional tapestry that is so rich and complex that it must be examined and wondered on to be understood.

There's a reason why this is:

Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.

God isn't interested in laying out a cold, lifeless account of what He did on the earth. He's looking for a real relationship with His creation.

If we choose to participate, there are wondrous things in store. I'm amazed at all the things He's taught me over the years.

Allow me to share a testimony:

A year or so after I began walking closely with Him, I was listening to the scriptures while driving down the road. I came across what I thought was a contradiction in the gospel accounts.

The devil (he's so sneaky) began to attack me and try to destroy my faith in God and His Word (which is completely trustworthy). As I drove down the road, with my faith being attacked, I simply said, "God, I trust You. I know that you will show me how this reconciles with the rest of Your Word."

About 7 hours later, I was laying in bed and falling to sleep. I had read a bit more from my Bible, and was ready to put it down for the night, when suddenly the Holy Spirit prompted me to go to my map section of my Bible.

I never go to the map section. Who does? But I felt the prompting, so I did.

What I found was the exact explanation for the thing I thought showed that God's word didn't reconcile in one respect. But it did reconcile, perfectly, and the notes in the map He led me to proved it. It was amazing. God is so good. He is faithful, but do we want to trust Him?

How many Christians down the ages have had a similar experience to mine, but failed to call upon God for help and understanding, trusting that He would show Himself and His Word to be true?

It's all true, folks. God is real, His Word is true, and every promise He makes in there has a sure answer: YES!

The different gospel writers told different aspects of the Life of Jesus. For example John does not include the story of Jesus birth and infancy. (infancy narrative). The gospel writers recorded the message in different times and different places. They did not work together. Each gospel was written independently of the other.

Prior to the written word.. the gospel message began mainly by word of mouth in stories.

I wonder if he was trying to write it with universal credibility -- not making claims that were not publicly documented. That is how we are taught to write academic papers -- never making statements of opinion, but always basing statements on previous quotes or indisputable facts. He left the reader to discover more, and research for themselves... rather than leaving them saying "hogwash."

The tomb was empty, and that was authentic local news.

Great story! It's little things like that which remind me how God is paying attention to my life, even when the bigger problems and decisions seem to not budge.

The Gospels present the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God, in various aspects:

Matthew (AD 37) presents Him mostly as the Son of David and Son of Abraham in genealogy as in the rightful linage.

Mark (AD circa 57 and 63) sets Him forth as Servant of God and emphasizes that.

Luke (AD circa 63 and 68) and emphasizes His place as Son of man --the divine One.

John (AD circa 85 and 90) and exalts Jesus as Son of God and the eternal God, the Word made manifest, God incarnate, etc.

Not every aspect or situation is shown in each Gospel.
