I chose Karikta cuz its basically what I am in the simplest form. I was in church one day and the preacher talked about how our lives were like a movie to God. He said that many of us would be nominated for an academy award but only a few would win. So I look at myself as a Karikta (or character) in a movie for God.

I chose Jelvenko simply because it's my name. Seriously. JEL are my intials, but actually it shoule be JLE. and the venko is part of my last name.

Byootaful is to remind me that I am beautiful inside. It's spelt the way my boyfriend says it (occa) and it's like a constant reminder that he loves me and I don't need to hurt myself.

I had this from other forums. I'm in Christ, but this specifies my personality a little more than just the generic Christian usernames. It's kind of a "who am I?" within the church.

Seems like the name that I normally use was already taken. "Speedo" has been my callsign forever and is what I use practically everywhere.

Don't remember any particular reason that I chose Grunt, it just popped into mind. It's a term referring to infantrymen, mainly caught on in Vietnam.

Need I explain?

I chose "Jedi," of course, as a reference to those lightsaber swinging good guys sin Star Wars, but the name "Jedi" is also Hebrew in origin that means "beloved by God." Thus there's a double meaning.

did you know that in german you can make the longest words that actualy still make sense? like your nickname

My little 7-year old cousin came up with "janshkin" one fine day pretty much out of the blue and because I don't have any other nicknames I've been "janshkin" ever since. I chose to use something real just because I can't find anything fictional that would fittingly describe me.

Mandrake has been my online handle for years now, and I'm trying to remember why......

Mandrakes are a type of plant with a root that is shaped like a person. I guess that must be part of it. Of course it's also a Linux distro I had a bit of experience with in 10th grade before I switched to Debian and then to Gentoo. That that might be it too. But I never really liked it, so I don't think that's it. They're reputed to be an aphrodisiac, so I maybe I was trying to seem extra virile.

I dunno, but Mandrake I am. I like it.

My name is Amanda and none of my friends pronounce the 'A' at the beginning of my name which gives you Manda. That was taken so I had to pick a number or something and being uncreative I picked my old basketball jersey number.

An ex-boyfriend who isn't a practicing Christian once told me that when he first met me he knew I was special. He said he could see it in my eyes that I wasn't like the other girls he knew, and I think part of it had to do with me being a devout Christian. We're not together anymore (long story), but that struck me. No one else had ever said that about me, so that inspired my blog and CF name!

I chose mine because I do live for God and am currently on my journey of sanctification. I thought spelling it differently would give it a cool twist.
