At the surface of the Earth only fractional parts of the geologic column can be observed. In places almost the entire column is present and can be accessed by drilling. The Williston Basin in North Dakota is one such place. What is important is that the column can be traced from location to location. Some areas will be more complete, some less. What we don't see are layers "out of order" with only a few exceptions that were obviously caused by mountain building.
I am totally unaware of any creationist or flood geologist explanation that has not been totally debunked.
I agree with that one, to write something like Genesis 1, a person has to unlearn everything he/she knows and think like someone who lived 3,000 years ago. That is not easy to do.

Dear Readers, The first thing created or brought forth from things which do not appear, was the air (heaven) and the ground (earth). Gen 1:1 ALL physical matter was made from these first creation elements (not chemical elements). Water was NOT listed as being created since it came from the air for it is a combination of oxygen and hydrogen within the air.
Can anyone tell us HOW ancient men, who lived thousands of years before Science, could have possibly known and written this Scientific Truth? Of course not. It's one more PROOF of God. God reveals His advanced knowledge in His writings. God Bless you.

If God created 100 fish kinds in Day 5. At the end of the Day, God can say: EVERY one of the fishes is good.
Since God is going to create more fish on Day 6, so at the end of Day 5, God does not say: All fishes are good. Because some are not created yet.
