Why are internet Atheists so hostile and mean towards Christians ?

Pretty much anytime I've ever been chastised by my Father, I have found the whip that He used to be in my own hand, or one that I had braided for another.

That doesn't fit the Scripture about scourging referred to.
"My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when reproved by Him; for whom the Lord loves He disciplines,

and He scourges every son whom He receives."

Some yes.

Some no.

They have familiar spirits working on them, pride and ego, poor living conditions and treatment from their peers and incredibly bad influences.

Not to mention:

2 Corinthians 2:14-16
14But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. 15For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task?

You are the stench of death and eternal judgment to them.

Their spirit is disturbed by you because deep down they know there is a God and His requirements are to put away sin.

Without the help of the Holy Spirit we are all bitter and sinful and fallen and we have no hope of being anything else without the love of God living inside of our heart.

Planting seeds and watering them with love is what we can do.

The who, what, where, when, why, and how on the growth of those seeds is entirely dependent on God the Holy Spirit for it is the Father that draws men to Christ, not us. (John 6:44)

Aaron, its late and I'm way too tired to debate with you.
Please read what I said again. We reap what we sow. Sow to the wind, reap the whirlwind. In my own life, God has rarely needed to engage in some direct means of chastisement, but merely allows me to suffer the consequences of my own actions.

This is contradictory to many Scripture. He Directly Chastens His sons.

The other stuff you refer to is possibly even a false gospel/ humanistic, or something I don't know.

Look around this forum. Dear Lord, just read this thread. If we "christians" can't even treat each other with mutual love and respect. Why should we expect anything better from the Atheists?

Atheist's usually know the the Bible inside out to a certain degree & hate God & think he is a cruel God, very often I've heard them ask, 'Why did God kill all the men, women & children ? Well anyone who understands this will know why, but try explaining this to an atheist. An atheist only sees a cruel & merciless God and will argue until the end of never.

I can't wrap my head around it either. For a time when using social medias I was exposed to non-stop hate. Even when I wasn't living right I didn't spend all my time attacking and tearing other people down.

Why? Pride and hate in my opinion.

It shouldn’t hurt. That is an error on your part. It is an error on your part that you appear to men to lack forgiveness.

They can be forgiven for error because they know not what they do and they have a cloak for their sin but you say you see.

Do you not have an unction from the holy one? Do you know all things?

We have peace that surpasses all understanding, but they have fear and torment.

Should you not rather mourn for them?

You live as a king and you can talk to anyone in the world at any time you want simply by pressing a button.

You do not need to get onto a rat infested ship in freezing cold weather and storms not knowing whether you will ever see shore again not knowing whether you will be bitten by serpents when you are washed up on the rocks of some remote island.

It is possible to reach even the angry, but if you yourself do not have peace, how will you share peace with them in a fruitful testimony?
