I had the same problem about a year ago, when I became a Christian. I started out in a Presbytarian Church, but my wifes co-worker is a pastors' wife in a Baptist church. I talked to him on the phone and I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as we talked, so I have been there ever since.John Pearce said:I am new to the Faith, and I am yet to choose a church to attend. I want to know what the MAIN differences are between them all to help me choose the right one. I dont want arugement, just sensible discussion please! Can anyone give me a helping hand?
I have Bible studies with the Presbytarians, a non-denom church and the Baptist Church I attend. I am hoping to join an Assemblies of God Bible study now that choir is finished for the summer.
I guess my advice to you would be get a book like Protestants for dummies, or Orthodox, or Catholics for dummies. Do alot of praying, set up meetings with pastors and priests, and get an idea of what they believe. There are also plenty of great websites if you need a helping hand pointing them out, let me know!
