I had the same problem about a year ago, when I became a Christian. I started out in a Presbytarian Church, but my wifes co-worker is a pastors' wife in a Baptist church. I talked to him on the phone and I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as we talked, so I have been there ever since.

I have Bible studies with the Presbytarians, a non-denom church and the Baptist Church I attend. I am hoping to join an Assemblies of God Bible study now that choir is finished for the summer.

I guess my advice to you would be get a book like Protestants for dummies, or Orthodox, or Catholics for dummies. Do alot of praying, set up meetings with pastors and priests, and get an idea of what they believe. There are also plenty of great websites if you need a helping hand pointing them out, let me know!

I personally think that you should go to the one closest to you first and then continue to "church shop" from there. Go for a couple months and get to know the people and see if they are like you. You need a church that supports your beliefs and is somewhat like you.
