Personally I use the NIV mostly, occasionally I use the NLT.
I am currently reading through the entire Bible using the NLT. I just started doing it a few days ago. I'm not getting very far yet but I'm working on it a few chapters at a time.

NIV in the main, because thats also what we use at church, but I've got a New English in my locker at work, a Good News by my bed, and I use the KJV at leats once a week

I also make use of the NLT and The Message quite often

But Primarily the NIV

kjv~not really on purpose, it's just the version my first bible is. It turns 20 years old this Christmas, has all my best notes, don't see giving it up anytime soon, though I'd better get some duct tape on it sometime

Wifey uses amplified~I do like the nkjv, got a thompson chain-reference but it was so big I got tired of hauling it to church so it sits on the shelf as reference though I don't pick it up much~maybe I should pass it along...

The NKJV is based on the textus receptus with variants in the margin from earlier manuscripts. The NKJV follows the KJV most of the time. The NASV is based on the critical text and the ASV (1901) edition. The NASV is more accurate than the NKJV. But both are good translations.

I mainly use the NIV. I've also used the NLT and recently gotten hold of an HCSB Aplologetics Study Bible.

Have you formed an opinion on the HCSB-ASB yet? I picked one up in November, and so far am satisfied with it. Definitely beats the NIV, IMHO.
