Apparently you know enough to state it's not an "exacting [sic] science". What are the variables, and how many is too many? What is the selection method for the demographics? What's a suitable phraseology for a question about who you will vote for?

I don't know, and I don't have the time nor inclination to do the research for you. Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that It is not an exacting science. There are too many variables, from the sampling demographics to the phraseology of the questions.

You seem to have strong opinions, for someone who doesn't really know.

You could have just left it there.

If you don't know why any of the things you have already complained about are wrong, if they require research, they you simply don't know what you are talking about.

You seem to have strong opinions, for someone who doesn't really know.

Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that It is not an exacting science. There are too many variables, from the sampling demographics to the phraseology of the questions. Wow I feel like a broken record.

You sound like one too.

The key would be explaining why you think there are too many variables or there is an issue with the sampling demographics. If you can't explain what you mean when you say that, then you have no basis to assert any "fact".

Each poll, for consistency has to have the same questions and same possible answers.

Each poll should have a sampling comprised of the same demographic groups and same numbers from each group.

Which they don't.

Example your subject group comprised of 1,500 people. 500 Republicans, 500 Democrats and 500 independent or uncommitted.

Following me?

There is no conformity unless you can prove otherwise.

Yeah. But these things don't happen. That doesn't mean that polls aren't a useful (but not authoritative) guide to how people are likely to react in the bigger picture.

Each poll will vary slightly. It's actually quite hard to go very wrong with questions like "If the election were held tomorrow, would you vote for...".

Getting the "right" mixture of groups is made out to be a big problem by some. Stats techniques can deal with polling a "biased" audience in the long term, as long as the selection procedure remains essentially the same. The "strict numbers" approach you are advocating lead to the "unskewed polls" seen last time out, and making a resurgence now. They were well out last time, and will be again IMO.

While polls aren't science, the techniques used are advanced enough for them, on the whole, to be a reasonable estimate of current public opinion. Don't ignore them at your peril - but be prepared for them to be more correct than the opposite.

From the very beginning Trump has made it abundantly clear that he is running to get rid of corruption.
That is to laugh. You're coming in at the end of the Trump book. He made his first million with sweetheart deals rigged with his daddy's political connections. Why do you think he polls so badly among those most familiar with him and his deals?

This is ironic that his criticism of Hillary is her mastery of the art of the deal.
The only difference is she is accepting the bribe and he is having to pay out the bribe.

Ok, we need to do the math on this. In China you can pay people as little as $100 a month. You still have to feed them and give them a bed to sleep in. So lets say in China you can hire someone for as cheap as $300 a month. In american you have to pay them around $1,000 a month. Trumps cure is that he is going to charge a 35% import tax or tariff. So if you take $300 and add 35$ you end up with $405. That is still a lot less then the $1,000 you are going to have to pay for the american worker. Still that means that it will cost half as much for a foreign worker compared to one third we are paying now. If you want to verify this go to walmart and look at the pocket knives. An american made knife is around $30 and a china made knife is one third that amount.

Hope I don't offend but anyone voting Hilary needs a
BRAIN transplant!
Hmph, "No offense, but you're really stupid" is not a great way to dialog. Insults are not arguments.

He's had a good week, and one poll gives him a within the margin of error lead. But don't count our chickens, I give the same advice to those who are already giving Hillary victory.
Agreed. The worst thing that could happen to Hillary is people being overly confident she'll win.

There's a saying I heard. The fox is running for his dinner, the rabbit is running for his life. Who do you think has more incentive to run fast? Trump voters feel they've been cast aside the past 8 years. They are fired up and more than willing to vote and elect the only person that's tossed then a bone so far.

What bribe did she accept for what action, specifically? Mudslinging.

She has nothing fresh or new, so she lays low. It's all she can do.

You have SOME insight there.

To take it a bit further, perhaps it has to do with the factor.

Like for instance, who the Americans find most "sickening".

I just realized that THAT may be exactly what it is.....

possibly, combined with her possibly seriously deteriorating health....

The amazing thing is she keeps track of all her bribes and she actually pays tax on some of it. Her foundation is required by law to give 15% to the cause, so I am sure there are girls in African that get help. Still she keeps 85% for herself so they can live high on the hog. Her husband and daughter work for her foundation.

Where is she?
Hillary is doing fund raisers and very few public appearances for the most part. She just wants to pay for commercials on TV. If you can afford $35,000 she will feed you and let you take a photo with her. Usually the events are sponsored by celebrities and people with money.
