  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, yeah, I was watching MLP on Netflix with my daughter and we got through the first episode of the Discord arc before she headed out for a week of traveling with Grandma. I couldn't wait the week to find out what happened. It was then I realized that I am a brony.

And Pinkie Pie is the best pony ever.

Maybe I am stereotyping but from what I heard most men that like MLP are not uh... well you know. The subject we can't discuss on this forum. Not saying you bronies are obviously. Personally seems kinda weird to like a show that is geared towards kids and girls. To be fair I haven't really watched it. So I am mainly going by what the old one was about.

Yes, you are stereotyping. The idea that bronies are often homosexual has no basis in reality. One person issued a survey to many bronies and non-bronies and found that there was no significant difference in orientation. (bronystudy dot com/id1 dot html) - replace each dot with a period

This generation of MLP is very different from the previous ones. This one put priority into making sure that both children and parents could enjoy the show. Watch a few episodes on YouTube to get a feel for it. I'd recommend going to YouTube and searching for "Swarm of the Century." I thought that was a cute episode.

And I never let stupid gender stereotypes hold me back. They're empty, human-made creations that mean nothing unless we give them undue attention.

Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle are close behind her. PP is funny, and TS is an interesting character.
