  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I posted this in my journal but I figured I'd share it with everyone else out there. Feel free to check my journal out any time!

This story is in heaven. God and his Son are looking down upon the earth and all of the sin that is happening. A single tear falls down the Father's face. Before he can wipe it away, the Son sees it hit the ground. Giving the Father a big hug, he heads in the Picture Room. The Picture Room is where the Father keeps photos of all of his kids. Jesus remembers all of the good times he and his Father have had looking and these pictures. He remembers the love that he saw as God gazed at each and every picture. But Jesus isn't here to have a good time. He's on a mission. Scanning the walls, he finally finds the picture he's looking for. My picture. Plucking it off the wall and slipping it inside his robe, he walks back out to where the Father is still standing, now with tears running down his face. "Hey Dad, don't worry, it'll be ok. I'll take care of it." "Son, what will you do? How can you bring my children to me?" Smiling, Jesus explains,"I'll go to earth and live the life of a man. I'll be the son of a carpenter and I'll be an arrow pointing to you. I'll die so that they may have life and have it abundantly forever here with you." Holding up my picture now, Jesus whispers with tears in his eyes,"Dad I want him to live with me forever."

Jesus gave it all. Will you give your all to him?
