  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Great day today, sunny, high made it to the mid 60s and not too much wind. Maybe not enough wind for some interests, I passed a wind turbine in Woodstock, Illinois today that was stationary. It seemed to me that there should be enough wind to make it work, but the blades were feathered and the machine was idle. Note that this turbine was working yesterday, so I doubt that there's much wrong with the machine.

Heavy weather promised for Friday night through the weekend, especially South of the city.

The morning wasn't bad, clouds increased as the day wore on. Rain late afternoon, I ran into it for sure while making a delivery in Hebron, IL. That's just South of the Wisconsin line.

Tomorrow's a mixed bag, something for everybody in the weather forecast.

Currently, it's in the 70sF in the daytime and 40sF at night, and the wind is 20 to 40 mph. So, it's slightly MORE than breezy here in SW. Oklahoma. I'm not complaining.
