  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It was sunny, windy and warm. We reached 80 and maybe a bit above.

Last summer was fairly mild as I remember it, I'm hoping for a repeat. Reason: I'm operating most of the day without air conditioning in that van, and it gets HOT back in the cargo section.

We had a brief shower this morning and it is still a bit cloudy. Every now and then the sun peeks out. It's trying! Hope it succeeds b/c we are planning to go the beach today, and dd already is in her bathing suit.

It's cloudy and humid here this morning, probably low 70's today.

Though today was lovely...65 sunny and breezy.
Going to be cool, raw and wet over the weekend; maybe some flakes mixed in.

Someone must have been praying - it turned out to be absolutely beautiful! We only stayed for an hour though because it was so windy it made it kind of cold. Too cold to swim yet, but we are getting color to our skin. The waves were big and it was very rough due to the wind. Not good swimming for that reason too. All in all, in was nice to out - peaceful - and it's always great to be with my kids.

Except for the wind. Three men and a boy needed to control the cast-iron kite.

Windy and cooler here. The predicted high was 70, and I don't think we got that warm today.

Clear and cold, it's 40 right now. May get to 60 today but don't bet the rent on that. Frost warning for tonight.

Yesterday, it took both hands on the wheel to keep the big van on the road in high winds.

It's in the 50s here, and we're having gentle rain expected to continue for several days. It's actually very pleasant - we needed the rain - and it's clearing the pollen out of the air.
