From my understanding, what seperates the two would require one or the other conceding their pov. Even if there was to be a compromise, what's the benefit from a practicle view?

From those pastors who I talked to... there doesn't seem to be any.

Unity. A united front is much better than a divided front, especially when there are so many false Lutheran teachings out there. It looks somewhat silly when we're bonded together against those false teachings, but yet can't even manage to get in fellowship with each other.
