  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What was the most tearful movie you saw?

I must be the only person who didn't cry at the Passion of the Christ...and definately the only Christian who didn't even like it. Oh well...to each his/her own...

Deep Impact I didn't like at all at first because I thought it was a cheap knock-off of Armageddon, but the ending had me choked up so bad my mind changed completely!

Actually, Deep Impact came out in theaters BEFORE Armageddon.

I remember I was working in a movie theater during that time, and I wondered how it was that you had two "asteroid" movies coming out so close to each other.

Ahhh, really? Well I saw both on video, Armageddon before Deep Impact, so that must be why I thought it came out before...

I don't remember if it was the most tearful, but the first one that comes to mind is "Terms of Endearment".
