This phone's owner will get a bill for the calls made on the phone. The person who found the phone is not being very realistic. They have a cool phone ... until the owner cuts off the service. Also, if they are making calls on the phone, eventually if the phone company wants to they can find this person, or at least the folks he is calling.

That phone should be taken back to the carrier and turned in. Better late than never. Even if the phone was cheap, it is still a loss to the owner. I drive a 12 year old car with a sad looking paint job. If someone stole my car, I would still be without a car and in a real pickle- even if it's not worth a lot.

Thanks for the advice, but it's too late. Befor I spoke to them the following happened.

They made afew text messages to people and wasted about 2 dollars Australian, I know a big mistake. After school today, they went back to the park, thouroughly wiped down the phone for prints and put it back where they found it. If the owner finds it, it's trouble with the bill. Though the most likely thing is someone else will take it and use it. Despite whats been done. Can you please give me texts that I can give to the person, to encourage them, and lead them to repentence of their bad...Texts such as.

1 John 1:9
If you confess your sins Jesus is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
