  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Violin. I used to play...I played for half a year in kindergarten, from second grade to part of eighth, and for a small fraction of my sophomore year. I really miss it..but if I were to pull it out now (I'm a junior) it would be horribly out of tune. I also think the harp is simply -beautiful- to listen to, but I don't play.

Okay, well I play trumpet, acoustic, and electric guitar and I think they are all quality, but I have to say that I think that saxophones are the definition of cool... mhmm... totally. But I love the fact that you can get so many different sounds from stringed instruments too... so maybe cello is the best... But in terms of what I play it's gotta be my electric guitar... on account of the fact that it's a fender stratt... tis too beautiful not to be played

Hmm, tough one, to play it would be piano, it's so relaxing to play and there is an endless variety of moods and expressions, and also violin, it's so freeing and expressive, a combination of music and movement

To listen to, it would be harp, oboe and cello, but especially irish pipes, they are just so awesome and expressive, whether they're richening the quiet parts, or soaring over the choruses. not bagpipes tho, urgh!

Having said all that, i just love music of any kind, and (nearly) all instruments can be totally magical...

i would have to say my fav instrument is the human voice. its very versitile and you don't have to remember to grab it on the way out. besides i sing bass and if you play with any instruments be sides other voice a bass voice just gets lost.

#1 Would have to be guitar, I love listening to good guitar play, especially if they have....

#2 Synths/piano played over them, you can really get a beautiful entrancing effect, and good piano play in general I can really apreciate.

#3 Drums, I like listening to good drumming as well (with good music over it ofc )
