  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

...Messianics and Ebionites?

I figure it has something to do with the Apostle Paul?
Actually Sha'ul never really enters in to it. Here is a post by an Ebionite who visited our forum........ While many of us did not agree with him, this can be said to be one Ebionite's view of his movement.

On an Ebionite web site, they stated that they beleived Yashuah was the messiah, but they rejected the teachings of Paul...

They believe Yeshua is "Messiah" or *a* "Messiah", but they do not believe He is HaShem/G-d. Sha'ul and other writers of the Ketuvim Natzrim do believe Yeshua is G-d, so their teachings would naturally be scrubbed.

But Messianics don't beleive that Yashuah is G-d either, and they don't reject the teachings of Paul?
So what's the difference!
Yes, the VAST majority of Messianics DO firmly and definately believe Yeshua is G-d (there have been a few on this forum that don't, true - but they are a tiny majority in the Messianic Community) - and the majority DO accept the teachings of Sha'ul - although perhaps NOT as the church teaches them...... but from the Jewish POV from which they were written

Shalom!

From my understanding the original Eboinites only accepted two books of the New Testament (Matthew and Hebrews). And they kept themselves seperated from the rest of the believing community. I know that they rejected the teachings of Paul (Shaul).
I didnt realize there were people now who practiced these beliefs.
I dont quite go along with their views.
In Messiah's Love,
