Why did he have to demand it - because the Special Counsel was not cooperating.
I explained that I thought the quickest way to get this done was to have a conversation between [Flynn] and the agents only. I further stated that if LTG Flynn wished to include anyone else in the meeting, like the White House Counsel for instance, that I would need to involve the Department of Justice. [General Flynn] stated that this would not be necessary and agreed to meet with the agents without any additional participants.
The agents did not provide General Flynn with a warning of the penalties for making a false statement under 18 U.S.C. § 1001 before, during, or after the interview
The fact which draws perhaps the most suspicion is that the FBI 302s were dated August 22, 2017 which is seven months after the interview took placeHere is the one and only reference to the President:
Judge Sullivan, it appears, is not blind to the numerous and troubling injustices that abound in the Flynn case.
Over and over again, they have violated the rights of anyone associated with him. (The President)
I did read it - and that is why I consider it a diversion at best.

And because this a counter intelligence issue, the Gang of 8 has the right to read the full unredacted report.
This is all about Flynn’s sentencing. He’s already pleaded guilty. Not being warned of the consequences of lying to the FBI would possibly get him a lighter sentence. But that’s all a distraction from the question of why Flynn lied. Regardless of what the punishment should be, it was unethical to lie to the FBI. What was he trying to hide? And let's not beat around the bush, Democrats would love to find any reason to remove Trump. I'm confused, particularly since this thread was started today based on a news article from several days ago. To answer the OPs question: "What is Mueller trying to hide?", the answer is simple -- nothing. It is widely reported that Mueller turned the requested documents over to the judge on Friday, just as he was ordered to do.
The threat is based on a weak and fear-mongering article that played fast and loose with the truth. It's even a weaker article since Mueller turned over the requested documents with no issues and on time. As pointed out, the fact that a judge "ordered" it is merely the way the justice system works, not anything about "forcing" Mueller to comply.
But isn't his special council he elected very biased and partisan? I heard the entire investigation is run by Democrats? And let's not beat around the bush, Democrats would love to find any reason to remove Trump. The special council doesn't represent American interests (and laws), it represents Democrat interests.

Given Flynn isn’t getting jail time, it appears to have worked out ok.You know, I don't think people should be pressured into not having lawyers present for interviews. I think we should have a law that prevents that. But I've seen plenty of recorded police interviews where the police do just that. If those folks can be bullied, why should Flynn be a special case? I think ideally we should have a law mandating an attorney be present for all interviews.
