LOL, we are not talking about cultural or social morals here, we are talking about the gay lifestyle. Homosexual sex, individual perversion. LOL.
Oh, really? When your original question was about adoption. I think we're very much talking about cultural and social morals. You know, churches telling people who they should vote for and who they should not, churches telling people that only those who conform to that church's thinking may validly marry, people using the law to demonize other people in religion's name.

And as far as I'm concerned, using the Name of the Lord who gave His life to save all people as a weapon to hurt others with is a perversion compared to which whom you trade [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] with and what the law thinks of your doing so is a mere peccadillo.

Can you please give us an example? And provide evidence.
Nope, only those who sincerely profess his name. You aren't a christian just because you call yourself one and your works don't reflect it. You can't preach 1/2 truths.

What about this thread? In fact, virtually every thread in this particular forum?

Strangely, this is one place where we completely agree. I've been pointing to the Gospels where Jesus says precisely how He will judge those who profess to speak in His Name. I'd also offer the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22ff.

But He does offer an out -- if we truly and sincerely repent of those sins, and intend to lead a new life following the commandments of God and living in love and charity with their neighbors, He forgives those sins.

All of them.

Jesus said that not all people who say, "Lord Lord" are gonna make it. Take up the issue with our Lord through prayer. If you wanna live the sewer life in this world, you get it in the next.

Interesting. What He said was, as you say, not all who say "Lord, Lord" but those who do the will of the Father. Now, let's look at what Jesus taught about morality.

Sexual sin is forgiven: the woman taken in adultery is a good example. "Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more."

What gets condemned is believing that conforming to your moral code while condemning those who do not so conform, will get you into Heaven. The Pharisees were the ones who scrupulously tried to keep the Law, and looked down on those who were more laxadaisical at it. And they're the ones Jesus spoke out against most often.

Maybe contraception, or abortion, or homosexual acts, or the desire for them, are sinful. Our moral theology teaches that they are. But if so, they are sins which He is ready to forgive. On the other hand, deciding that He will reward us for "living a good life" and will condemn those who commit those sins, and denouncing them as sinners as opposed to ourselves, is exactly what He condemned as a more heinous sin in the Pharisees.

Pray about it. I know I have been doing so.

Why do people think that prefixing/suffixing their statements with LOL makes them look any less intolerant?

What ?

It is a simple question, people.

These are two reasonable options. What other options do you suggest ? Wolves ?

There are many other reasonable options:
-Raised by one biological parent, and one step-parent
-Raised by a loving adoptive couple
-Raised by a loving adoptive widow who never had the chance to have children, or whose children are grown
-Raised by a loving aunt and uncle
-Raised by loving grandparents
-Raised by a loving stepparent
-Raised by loving biological parents
-Raised by loving homosexual parents, either adoptive or one biological

There are other options, too, that often get used because many think it doesn't matter if a child is loved as long as they are raised by a family that looks right:
-Raised by abusive biological parents
-Raised by foster home after foster home
-Raised by an abusive single mother or father
-Raised by a mother or father who is involved in illegal and dangerous actions that have a negative effect on the home
and so on.

if those were the only 2 options then ideally i'd choose the hetero couple. This is because as a parent I wouldn't want my child to go through any types of hardship, although its often unavoidable. For a hetero couple its easy though since its the norm, and they won't receive the ridicule that a homosexual couple will. The other reason is because both options can teach children a traditional family order, but only one can actually show by example.

Well, I just read a link and thread in another forum yesterday where a government entity took an 11 year old boy out of foster care with good fosters because the couple refused to sign a statement that states they would teach the child about homosexuality in a postive context- that gay relationships were as good as heterosexual marriage.
