What if criminal investigations were done the way creationists do science?

I don't think you should be lecturing us on debating skills.

For your scenario to be analgous to creationism we need to compare the letter to the crime scene. This is analogous to matching Genesis to the physical world around us.

If your scenario were analogous then the letter written by the confessor would not match the details seen at the crime scene. Why? Because Genesis does not match what we see in the real world, something to which you have admitted in the past (at least since Last Thursday).

Now, if the confessor's letter did not match what we found at the crime scene what would be the best conclusion:

1. The confessor did not actually do the crime. He is lying, or is trying to protect the real murderer.

2. The confessor is mentally ill.

3. The crime scene was changed drastically, without any evidence of it being changed, between the commission of the crime and the arrival of the crime scene investigators. This would require such drastic changes as turning a gunshot into a knife wound, changing fingerprints, changing DNA, and changing the nature of the fibers.

Now which one do you think is most likely?

Very few crimes would be solved and many innocent people punished.
