Romans 10:9- "For if you are publically declaring with your own mouth that JESUS IS LORD and exercise faith IN YOUR "HEART" (you believe that in your "heart" not just your head) that God raised him (Jesus) up from the dead (and lives right now), you will be saved.

God Bless!

Okay, I can see where you're at with this question. I see it as: find your faults, work on fixing those faults through Them (God and Jesus, and even the Holy Spirit) and while you are doing that... you will be or are or are being saved.

I know I'm a tad bit unclear, but I hope this helps!

1 Corinthians chapter 15 gives more light about this great subject, especially towards the end of the chapter.

We are being saved from our sins, so we have been saved from the penalty of our sins through faith that Jesus rose from the dead, we are being saved from ongoing sins by declaring by faith that Jesus is Lord, and we will be saved from God's wrath on the day of the Lord. Declaring Jesus as Lord means that we ought to obey his commands and walk as he walked.

In order to be saved and being saved which seems to be a life long process and not an act, one must start at repentance and then be baptized in the Name of JESUS Christ for the remission of your sins and then you will receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. That is born of the water and spirit. Born again. Then that person is to seek going unto perfection. Being Christ-like, which takes a lifetime process by being led of the Holy Ghost, Christ in you the hope of glory, being led into all truth.

Every person who confesses Jesus as Savior is saved and secure precisely at that moment. His or her pathway though life is to be one of celebration, sharing, and service. In fact, that is all laid out in the salvation experience.

When I or anyone asks "why," we need to look to ourselves. We've stepped off the path He prepared for us.

Word-Faith proponents preach that we must pray for whatever we desire. If we do that, they say, we'll receive healing, a new car, mortgage paid for, and on and on.

In fact, the path was laid out before us when we confessed Romans 10:8-13. God doesn't depart from that, we do.

That's why I spend lots of time confessing 1 John 1:9. I wouldn't have to if I would simply abide my belief, hope and trust in Him, and go on about my day.

  • How does one get on the road of salvation?

  • Do we do it the natural way by getting a natural circumcision like the natural jews do? Or do we have it done spiritually? After the cross it is done spiritually.

Rom 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

How does one get their heart circumcised?

    Col 2:10-14 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

So in order to have our heart circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, one must be baptized in the Name of JESUS Christ for the remission of our sins by being submerged in water and by our faith in doing so God then does an operation on us by cutting away at the heart to remove our sins.

Act 2:38-39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Even as many as the Lord shall call.............well I guess we took it out of the salvation process. It is no longer necessary to be baptised in water these days because we live in 2016 now and it is not necessary.

Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

    That is our wedding garment.

Mat 22:1-14 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.

So if we deny to get baptized in the Name of JESUS Christ to have our sins remitted, then we fail to put on Christ which is our wedding garment and we will be cast out into outer darkness simply because we did not obey or believe the Word of God.

Paul which was an apostle to the gentiles had a visitation from JESUS on the road to Damascus, got instructions on what he was to do, he had repented right there on the spot on the road and then was led to Ananias, a devout jew. If anyone should have not had to have been baptized besides JESUS, it should have been Paul but guess what? He was commanded to get baptized.

Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Matthew 18:3 And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

What does it mean to be become like little children? Apt to learn as they do. A sincere heart and wanting the truth.

Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Why were the children of the Kingdom cast out? Because these children did not grow up in all things and come to perfection.
They did not bother to search the scriptures daily to see if the things Paul said were so.

Act_17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

People these days go and listen to a pastor instead of searching the scriptures ourselves. We believe that asking JESUS to come into our heart is the salvation plan when it does not say this in the Bible at all. Who came up with this asking JESUS to come into our heart slang? Billy Sunday who played for the White Socks had everyone bow their heads and said the sinners prayer.

Its not even in the Bible but still we take a man's word for it over the Word of God. Paul the Apostle was baptized in JESUS Name. Peter and all the rest in the scriptures did the same as well as the church but we today have rejected the oracles of God and went with our pastors that hardly read the Bible all the way through even one time.
