In Exodus, when the Israelites came out of Egypt, they grumbled on several occassions. Now, for one instance, they grumbled for food.
16:3 'Would that we had died by the Lord's hand in Egypt, when sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full;...'
Then the Lord rained down bread from heaven the next morning.
I know it is difficult to speak for God, but does anyone have any insight as to why God would act on there behalf then immediately? What do you think they should have done while they went in the wilderness without eating? Or barely, I suppose, they may have been eating dates from the seventy date palms they camped beside some time earlier. I suppose they should just have believed the Lord would provide and waited patiently. Of course it sounds like (many of us, me included), they were whining children.
But I'm trying to figure out why God frequently let them get to that point, and then provided right away.
