  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What did Adam and Eve look like?

No. The type of language they used. Was it a clicking sound like language.
I believe Adam & Eve spoke Jacobean English, the language of the King James Bible.

Genesis 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

In short, I think that "one language and one speech" is Jacobean English.

That puts Adam and Eve in the 15th century.
Are you aware of any examples Early Modern English before that time?

I wonder if the primordial "Adam and Eve" used a clicking-sound language.
I laughed when I first read this, thinking of some sort of dolphin-esque communication.
Then I remembered that there are some ancient African languages that do use click consonants. Here is an example:

No, sir.

Not if they spoke it from Genesis 1 to Genesis 11, then it was [temporarily] done away with at the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11.

Given the oldest hominid remains are in Africa, then dark skin world have been pretty handy.

Can you expand on that a little?
I believe in a first man and a first woman. Not necessarily the exact details from Scripture. I do not take Genesis literally.

There's accounts that tell the truth of history,
and those that tell the truth about people.

Fix it then.

Tell me what you think they spoke.

Which is more nonsensical, theorizing or keeping quiet?
My thoughts on the matter is that it's nonsense to even speculate.
