To me it's simple.. Having a relationship with God. Accepting that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. Bettering myself to be good in the eyes of God.

I don't get why so many people go SOOOO far with this.. yes its great but when you start saying that person is more spiritually advanced or more Christian that is just ridiculous... The main thing in Christianity is having a relationship with God... a PERSONAL relationship with God. That's the bottom line to me at least..

I can understand your opinion. I think I can agree in many ways too. I think there are many things that Christians think are so important about the relationship with God that I think are not important at all. I think many Christians can think someone is not spiritual enough because of specific Church beliefs and teaching.

However, I think that there are many degrees of relationship with God. I think you can say that the person who does turn all the things over to God, the person that seeks God's will in all the parts of their life is more spiritually advanced then the person who only prays something, who doesn't consider about their life and how it fits into God's plan, who does something because it is the thing they want and they ignore God's calling. Some people trust God with many parts of their life. Some people barely let God into their lives more than praying sometimes and reading the bible sometimes, and going to Church on Sunday. Some people always think about how can I glorify God with my living everyday life. Some people don't.

I think in these kind of situations it is clear that there is some difference in how they are spiritually advanced or not.

I hope I can make my point clearly to you. I think some people don't have as strong of a trusting relationship with God as the othes. Just like some friends are not so close to us as the others. Even the Bible warns that the person that believes but is not close to God will have a worse time in the judgement day than the person that didn't know God.

It's not enought to just say "I believe." You also have to live that believe everyday.

What does Christianity mean to me? I'll let the greatest theologian to ever live answer that for me - whatever he says, I agree with:
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. [Romans 8:1-4; NASB]

Rituals, good works, and continuing in sin so that grace may abound!

Oh wait, this isn't opposite day? Drats!

In that case, I believe Christianity is freedom, love, grace, mercy, relational, beautiful, wonderful, amazing and so much more. Above all, it is hope. Hope that we get from the one who cured our sickness. And he calls us to share this hope with everyone. Shout it out on the mountains! On the roof tops! Out in the streets! THERE IS a CURE. THERE IS HOPE. We call Him Christ Jesus!
