  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everyone is doing such cool projects!


I want to do a series of sketches of my cat and eventually turn them into a series of acrylic paintings.

I also plan on finishing a birdhouse mobile. I bought these cute mini bird houses for a dollar, and I plan to paint them and hang them from my ceiling in a mobile like fashion.

I am working on Cinderella and Snow White paper dolls, a little girl paper doll named Hailey who will have holiday, seasonal outfits, and a two modern paper dolls, Gabrielle and Valerie who have modern clothes, prom/evening dresses, wedding dresses and casual outfits.

Then there is my pencil drawings in my sketchbook. I drew a little American Indian girl, holding flowers, need to finsih the background, she will be in a wooded glade with a stream and maybe a little animal, fox, rabbit, or squirrel, with some flowers and bushes. I have a drawing of a woman who represents an angel of life and death, there is a line dividing her in half, one side will be young and black, the other and old white woman. The young black woman is holding a baby, the old white woman a bundle of wheat the represents the harvest of souls. THere will be a rainbow, dove and lightning in the background, as well as a rose bush and easter lilies growing. The woman is wearing a robe with a grape vine and rose vine design, stars, crosses and fish on it. I have several pictures that need coloring.

How interesting that you make paper dolls. I played a lot with those as a child, but never made any - not creative enough. I also introduced them to my daughter.

Sounds like you're working hard on your sketches - they sound wonderful.

Im building a wooden plane to plane wood with. I recently developed a love for woodworking with hand tools like they did in the old days. Good quality planes cost a lot of money though and i ran across youtube videos that people posted showing how to build wooden wood planes, it seems pretty simple. Next (God willing) i'll be building a Roubo style woodworking bench which is the heart of any hand tool wood shop. I love carpentry, i assume the Lord did too. Praise the Lord for carpentry.
