I have a passion for science for its own sake. The State has a legitimate interest in funding science, not just for demonstrable short-term gains, but for its own sake. SETI has yet to make any conclusions either way, and we have only searched a small portion of the sky.

You obviously did not bother to read the links I provided. They show that horse evolution formed a branching pattern, not a single linear pattern leading to the modern horse. That is what was falsified, not horse evolution in general. Horse evolution was more complicated, leading to numerous lineages that resulted in eventual extinction, in addition to the one leading to Equus. Do yourself a favor and stop reading "creation science" propaganda.

So would you say that you were fortunate in that the book you were introduced to or picked up and read was the Bible and not the Koran?

PS. I have never met anyone or even heard of anyone who did not find their God all on their own without any help from anyone,
how strange is that? it seems that only Islam does a good job of indoctrinating it's followers, it makes one wonder why there are so many Catholics in Spain, Ireland and Italy or Hindus in India.
