It has nothing to do with political correctness, it has to do with the rules, especially the one marked in red.

The best way to avoid breaking this rule is to NEVER address the poster (other than in fellowship) and always respond to the post itself. Personal attacks, insults, or ridicule will almost always get reported.

Could not one asking a question be called.."baiting" When one is loosing a debate, does he cry "flaming,if the other person drives home a good point?

America, was founded on debate, and thank God Paul debated too...

*gasp* But, not everyone on this site is American.

There are so many variables it is hard to say. How was the question worded? Was it overly sarcastic? Was the question asked just to get a rise out of someone? ...

In general, if it is an honest question, it shouldn't be ruled as baiting.

Thank you for your points...

What I notice is..it is kinda like a fun football game....sure we get heated..but in the end,we cool down, and go have a spiritual beer.. "iron sharpens iron"

What I have noticed is as we surf the site,we come to know each other a bit,and some of the very quaterbacks on one thread, are playing rough...then on the next thread, they are crying "foul" Suddenly they want touch football Tennis anyone?

That's why we have to take responsibility for our own posts. If we are careful to stay within the rule guidelines then there is never a reason for someone to cry "foul". Or at least if they cry "foul" the report will get ruled NV (no violation).

We can't control what someone else types, but we can control how we respond. If we all stop and think how our post affects other people before we reply, there would be alot less reports & fewer hurt feelings.

I think the main problem is the intention of some people. they ask questions but don;t want to know the answer and are just setting people up to 'win' an argument. It' not about learning it's about pride. Debate need not be ugly and nasty, debate that is done in that manner benefits nobody and nothing is proven and nothing is learned, nobody moves forward with a new understanding just bad feelings.
and it feels that it's got to a point where if you do ask a genuine question everyone feels like your just waiting before you put your own argument across and are presuming your just picking a fight rather than wanting to know something.
