Waiting to Test

AF isn't due until the 30th. I think I am pregnant, but don't want to test again until I am late. I tested a couple of days ago with a BFN. This waiting is driving me crazy. I really want another child, and my dh is afraid that if I am not pregnant I'll be really upset. I hope that if I'm not, I won't be too upset. But this waiting is driving me crazy!!! How does everyone else pass the time until they can test?

It is so hard!! I found that charting helped me.... because then I knew exactly what was going on and when I was good to test. So that's one thing I did with my time. Otherwise... I just obsessed I guess...

How did you learn charting? I've read some about it, but don't really understand it.

Well I knew the basics, and then I just asked questions. I used www.fertilityfriend.com . Basically you take your temperature first thing in the morning, and also record what your cervical fluid looks like. Then you can see when you ovulate, and if you are going to get your period soon your temp drops

I waited until I was 4 days late before taking a test. I was convinced it would be negative and i'd just be disappointed again. I wasn't even going to test then, but my husband bought me some tests, so I did.

I think I am going to try and wait until either Saturday or Sunday. AF comes either a day early, or late occaisonally. So I want to wait if I can to test. But the suspense is killing me.

I know the feeling. Try to lose yourself in other work, projects, fun, etc. i know it's really hard, but I found I could distract myself if I tried hard enough.

I found a project. I am painting stuff in my house. I found a can of paint in my bathroom I had ben planning to use and never got around to. Well it turns out that it is pink, not purplr like I thought. So I have been painting everything I can pink. The front door is so pretty now.

I know how you feel RE the waiting....For me AF isn't due until the 5th of June at the earliest...so I have ages to wait

Distraction is the only way...think about something else....painting is good. I have scrapbooking

Cool! I don't have the patience for scrapbooking. So I admire you. I figure with painting if I mess it up, we can always repaint.

I tested yesterday, and this morning. And got a BFN both times. But TOM isn't here yet, so I'm still waiting.

I had a blood test on Thusday and it was negative. Could have been too early but they are pretty sensitive...

I tested negative 4 times all the while I was pregnant with my daughter, it was until I was nearly 2 months pregnant that I finally got a positive.

Well TOM showed up last night. So, at least my wait is over. Now the fun starts all over again.
