I do not need to be in unbearable pain when I have two children and a disabled wife to care for.

I don't think that you have to be physically on your knees to be on your knees in heart.

Like the Laodecians, they too are quite pleased with where they are and how they are walking. They have become totally oblivious to the war raging around them, and sins that have not been defeated have hardened their hearts to have no real desire for pure hearts, or for seeking God's face with all diligence to deliver them from the grip of the world, the flesh and the devil.

But the tide in the war is fixing to change, once we realize how much we have given place to the devil by simply thinking he cannot affect us or lead us astray.

Well, good thing. At least, no one will ever accuse me of waffling or fence sitting, LOL. I have a single message to share, and my posts are either on that glorious subject, or hoping to prick peoples consciences so that ears are prepared to hear what God wants to bless them with.

The world is fixing to get crazy, and the birth pains are getting closer and closer, and more intense. Our present Christianity has not led us to get the flesh out of the equation. I am referring to our fleshly, natural spirit. And as things spiral out of control, our flesh will want to survive, no matter the cost. Many will reason among themselves:

"God surely does not want me to see my wife, my little children go hungry. What type of father would I be? Sure, give us the mark."

We have a choice. We can pray that when that day comes, God gives you the strength to say no, bearing in mind that up till now, dying to self has been a losing battle, OR we can willingly,, joyfully, expectantly, fall into God's loving arms, and ask Him to open our eyes to what He has already done for us, given us each a brand new nature.

Our minds reel. It makes no sense. How can it be that we possess it and are not walking in it, enjoying what I describe? Because we first have to believe it exists, and secondly, we have to put it on, make it our shield of faith, appropriate it as OURS. And praise God, when we do that, combine the blood of the lamb where we have been forgiven with the world of OUR testimony that we are dead and our life is now hid with Christ in God, then walking in our new man will become a glorious reality.

And that is the message I seem to wear people out with. There IS a place of safety, where the old us is dead, where love begins to blossom in our hearts, where self control becomes a blessed fruit of our continual abiding in Him. It works. HE works. He DOES cause us to walk in obedience. So the only question left will be

Do each of us WANT that freedom from the rebel within?

The answer is the razor edge of the dividing line between sheep and goats, between light and darkness. All of you who are true sheep, even if you vigorously oppose what I share, you will come to the light, and eventually see what God has had for us all along. Nevertheless, the choice MUST be made as to who owns us, who rightfully must rule in us , me or Christ in me?

This is the sliver of light between legalism, where everything is a sin and guilt rules and greasy grace, where nothing is a sin and a hardened conscience rules. It is our literally putting on Jesus. HE is our armor that we put on. HE is the new man, that we are to walk in. HE on the throne of our lives, now there as BOTH savior and Lord, can and will truly cause us to walk obediently, joyfully, blown away, with a love connection to one another that we did not think even possible.. REAL family. Think Book of ACTS. Then think better than that. We are about to learn firsthand what "the glorious liberty of the children of God" actually means.

And to think satan could paint this as something to be feared.

The devil is defeated. If he was still able to fight, then there is no defeat. If the devil is still warring, then there was never a defeat.

That is why virtually every warfare scripture in the NT has to do with our minds.

What you focus on, is where your heart and mind is. What you concentrate on is what you are.

I train my children the way we should train disciples.

We stay away from sin, because it is beneath us. We love God so very much. We are so grateful for Jesus that we demonstrate our love by staying away from sin.

If we slip and sin, we run to God and ask His forgiveness.

I can never stand before God as though I have never sinned if my sole focus in life is sin.

I can and do stand before God as though I have never sinned today and every day because my sole focus is Jesus Christ and His finished work.

These can be no question satan is a defeated foe, and the next time he comes tempting us to commit our Achilles heel sin....again..... we are asked to arm ourselves with that truth, and resist him steadfast in the faith that we are no longer held by him, nor do we owe allegiance to our flesh and its desires.

Therein is the battlefield. It is a battle for our mind, for who we believe.How can we effectively preach liberty to the captives, if there remains a traitor inside us after all these years of serving Him? No brother, we are called to give all diligence, to fight the good fight of faith, to battle the one who has lied to us and told us there is no battle at all.

If we yield to him and remain ignorant of his devices, we are allowing him to continue to rob us of our birthright.... walking in the Spirit where we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Let us not forget the admonition God has given us.

"Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, His servants you are to whom you obey, whether to sin, unto death, or to obedience unto righteousness?"

God is about to do a miracle among His children. He is about to teach our hands to war. We are about to be awakened to how to possess our vessels in sanctification and honor. Grace, long misunderstood and misapplied, is about to teach us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we are to live soberly, righteously and justly in this present age. Our heart cannot be divided any longer. We are called to make our tree good, not be self effort, but neither by being content to be positionally clean while our hearts still love a bit of darkness, and a part of our treasure is this life and what it offers us.

We are about to learn how to walk as overcomers, to be in the world but not of it, to overcome it by faith as to who Christ has made us. We are new creatures, and our battle is to awake to it, believe it and apply it to our hearts by faith alone.

God wants us to 'rest' in our faith. If the struggle is so prolonged dear brother that after two years you are still in the midst of such a struggle, maybe try to rest in your faith. It brings good results.

We are not to be walking in constant conflict as you describe. What is at the root of this conflict in your heart, is a soul that is not resting on their faith in the Lord. Because He is in CONTROL. And He makes straight the path of His children. He works to make things good in the life of the believer, but we have to be willing to yield our lives to Him, so He can do that.

Yield your life to Him and experience the faith/rest life that He had always planned for His children.

Do we fight from the land of our humanness, where failures always seem to match our victories, and lessons always seem to need to be re-learned, or do we fight from the position of victory, standing in our new nature, resolved to not let satan's lies sway us or convince us there is nothing to battle at all. The difference in our fight is huge. In one, we fight to try to be better, to not give into sin and the pull of the world, while in the other, we stand on the truth that we are not of this world, and that we too have overcome the wicked one because we ARE light, not trying in vain to act like it.

Many people feel the need to fight a battle that God Himself has not called them to. To view that there is a constant battle of satan and his lies that keeps us from our Lord, is at a very basic level correct, but to view this in our day-to-day lives gives satan much too much power over us.

Our day to day battle within ourselves is our fighting our own fleshly nature that wants to please 'self'. What is at issue, is how we 'spend' each moment, our choices that we make all day, every day, lead us towards either a growth in our spirit or growth in our carnal, fleshly nature.

As the Word says 'resist the devil and he will flee from you'.

I know it is popular to view that every problem is from the devil, a spirit of something or a demonic possession, but things do not take root until we allow that to happen because of our day to day choices. Try not to fall into that trap that there are so many evil things 'happening' to you. That clearly takes focus off of our own choices and our own day to day lives that are either lived in faith and a rest in that our God is in control, or a battle with evil, that is incorrect on a day to day level of our existance.

Don't give satan that much control and power over your thoughts and life. Resist the devil as the Word tells us to do.

EXACTLY. When we sin, He forgives us and casts that sin as far as the east is from the west. He does not do that so we forget our transgressions, but so that we can move on from them and BOLDLY seek to do better! For if we stay in that state of circling around that sin, we never move on.

Satan likes those who are so busy chasing their tails that they never move on because he knows that to keep them there is stagnating the very power and strength that they have in Jesus Christ. To claim His strength and His power is to move on and do better. Growth has to move on from the past and wrongs, in order to succeed in the future in doing what is right!

Do you know what that means? That is scripture-talk for what in military we called "mission focus."

Mission focus means understanding and focusing on the commander's mission, and his mission alone. We don't each have our own little missions, there is only the commander's mission. We have fragments of his mission. The mission our commander gave us was to make disciples and to care for one another. Every one of us every single day has a task toward that effort.

We are not here to live our own lives--la, di, da--looking good in our uniforms strolling around the base. We each have a fragment of that mission to perform every day, and we should go to bed at night knowing we've performed our fragment for that day. For some of us, it may be a matter of positioning ourselves for a future role--training for a calling. Or it may be supporting others in some way.

On an aircraft carrier, there are 5,000 sailors...yet only about 75 of them ever actually get into planes and fly against the enemy. Yet every one of the other 4,925 sailors has a task every day to enable those 75 to fly and fight. Some of those sailors do nothing but wash laundry. That's their job every day, washing sheets and underwear and uniforms--and even that mundane task is vital to getting the 75 pilots into the air and fighting their best every day.

Mission focus: Knowing the commander's mission, understanding your fragment of the commander's mission, and attending to it every day.

Of course you can have that.
Not everyone is a warrior, not everyone is capable of being a cop.
You've seen the bumper stickers? "War Is Not The Answer"?
But sometimes, What is the answer, if not war?
How many good hearted pacifist monks would it take to stop ISIL? How many in Nigeria to stop Boko Haram?
How many would have it taken to stop Hitler, or Stalin?
The Man of God has a history replete where God used the (relatively) righteous nations to destroy an evil one.
And, we know at times likewise, He also used evil nations to admonish, and/or rebuke,/humble a (relatively) righteous one.
Do you think that anything has changed in this respect?
I am no proponent of war. Far from it!
I do however know for a fact that it has been a tool of our God when men act as they do.
We are once again in these times.

Would you elaborate a little? I know a Psalm stating that 'he trains my hands for war'.

I am accustomed to thinking we, Christians, are in a state of war with our enemy 24/7; no leave, no R&R, no downtime. If you relax and you lose ground. The enemy has to know he is defeated but some irrational motivation spurs him on despite the reality that he is defeated.
I fully agree that we must wage war efficiently otherwise we will fight the same battle over again every day. We would just be wasting time and ammo and getting nowhere with no benefit or gain.
