  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The other thread about stretch marks mentioned using vitamin e during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks.

Is 6 months pregnant too late to try and prevent stretch marks?
How much vitamin e is safe to take?

I've been using lots of lotion and drinking lots of water but in the last two days I've had stretch marks popping up on my legs, butt, and a couple on my tummy. I know it's too late to reverse the damage but I want to know if it's possible to stop from getting too much more.

I personally prefer Palmer's Coco Butter for stretchmarks. I don't care what anyone says they do help your stretch marks fade and most certainly not get worse in certain places. I started getting them on my chest and my hips and I noticed if I used the lotion everyday they did not get worse and would actually some did fade.

However, if you are prone to them they will come anyway but if you moisturize it will help them not become as bad because your skin is moisturized as it stretched. Nothing will prevent stretchmarks but you can prevent severe stretchmarks. Many of them will fade after you have the baby, they're not all permanent.

You can safely take 400- 800iu of natural Vit.E per day. Starting it at any time will help, but like we said in that other thread, genetics plays a big part in the type and how many stretch marks you get. Taking the Vit.E is a Good way to help your skin though, as well as a good way to make sure you (and your baby) are getting plenty of oxygen.

HTH~
