  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

that is so beautiful and what a beautiful sunny day. Amazing, I wanna live in those woods lol.

I agree with you. Soo beautiful in Bavaria but my fave is Austria. Unbelievable scenery. It's like it's not real. Lol. Ill post more of my Germany/Austrian trip.

living in woods is nice but I like it more to live near by a lake near the woods. As per recent research, Sweden is the ideal place for lakes and woods close proximity.

Is there any state in the US where you have woods and lakes at the same time? : )

Yeah, the US has plenty of woods / lake type areas. Not in my state though, my state is very flat, flat as a cornfield.

Why not? You can make a danish inspired castle.

Some yrs ago, I stayed in Lego Land Billund and I saw ridiculously cool lego castles. Not as big as in Bavaria though.

Maybe I will. I still have all my Legos. Lots of castle sets

I think Minnesota has both. We just have woods, or plains, or desert depending where you are.

we only have one NATURAL lake.

The state's nickname, The Land of 10,000 Lakes, is no exaggeration; there are 11,842 Minnesota lakes over 10 acres (0.040 km2) in size.[17] The Minnesota portion of Lake Superior is the largest at 962,700 acres (3,896 km2) and deepest (at 1,290 ft (390 m)) body of water in the state.[17] Minnesota has 6,564 natural rivers and streams that cumulatively flow for 69,000 miles (111,000 km).[17] The Mississippi River begins its journey from its headwaters at Lake Itasca and crosses the Iowa border 680 miles (1,090 km) downstream.[17] It is joined by the Minnesota River at Fort Snelling, by the St. Croix River near Hastings, by the Chippewa River at Wabasha, and by many smaller streams. The Red River, in the bed of glacial Lake Agassiz, drains the northwest part of the state northward toward Canada's Hudson Bay. Approximately 10.6 million acres (42,900 km²) of wetlands are contained within Minnesota's borders, the most of any state except Alaska.

Michigan has both as well

I don't think lakes and woods together are uncommon. I've seen them in PA and NY.

I don't think it's uncommon either. But maybe that is only in the north...

Another reason to go to Minnesota aside from Desiring God Conference / John Piper. : )

And the others are not? Gee...

well, we have several natural bodies of water (according to wikipedia 15 rivers, 81K miles/130K kilometers), and have plenty of lakes from damming the rivers.
