  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We are talking about vampires. If you want to talk about video games, you should talk about Castlevania, Legacy of Kain, Darkstalkers and those Vampire the Masquerade tie ins and how they made you want to be a vampire because vampires are so cool and sexy.

Forgive me lol, I LOVE VTM and the New World of Darkness gamelines, Vampire: The Requiem , give me a Nossie (Noseferatu clan of vampires, vampires who embody the image of vampires as monsters) vampire over Deava (a clan of vampires who are the seductive image of vampires).

Nosferatu are meh. I prefer the ones that are so tied to the darkness they take double damage in sunlight--mostly because in 99% of WoD Vampire games it's not actually a weakness.

For all of White Wolf's talk about how their games are about roleplaying, and character interaction, and being mature and deep; they sure do have a lot of opportunities for min/maxing. Especially when you start adding in the source books.

I especially loved their obsession with saying what happens when various things get turned into vampires, while at the same time pretending like people won't want to try this out. When they got to werefoxes this had turned into: THEY BURST INTO FLAMES OKAY! STOP TRYING TO MIX GAMELINES!
