My water is off now.

It has been escalating since I lost my car. Getting another one at the prices now is almost impossible.
The surge of cost for a used is ridiculous. The cost of everything has definitely surpassed my income.

I seek prayers.

I got my taxes paid [in December they were all due] and had $5 left to my name. And the utilities were due also, but I had to make a choice.

So when I am gone from the forum, yinz know what occurred.
FWIW - going through assistance with a store is almost impossible because they do not understand debits and credits. So said the manager of the assistance program.
So it is not an option.
I do not know how some people get jobs, but they do and they're rude if you explain.
Funny how they have a position in caring for the indigent. [well not actually funny]

I am so sorry to hear this. Have you thought of a Go Fund Me page until you can talk to an advisor to guide you in the meantime? Any family?? Be assured of my prayers WA. *hugs*

I just ran across something called-Hardship Funds for utilities. Your local Mission might be able to direct you to one in you area. Also you might try calling local churches and social service agencies and ask if they have emergency/crisis funds available to pay utilities.

I had the same thought, that would be a good idea.

You've probably looked into it already but a lot of utility companies have special plans for people experiencing financial hardship because everyone needs water and heat.

Exactly and there are hardship funds that will cover a bill as well. I just came from our Mission and they do assist people that have no way of paying at the time.

My daughter helped me. Cash app.
I thanked her so much but told her it's a band aid on a dam.
I was doing ok, paying bills [pay check to pay check so to speak] and wham my car died. Since I do Uber eats, door dash, grub hub I need a car.
NOW I am applying for everything or anything work from home / remote.
I think the car needs something done with the belt to the alternator.

Me: Car stopped. How nice. Take battery cables hook black to black and other black to alternator, spark and start and wait til it dies again.
Oil leaking like crazy... have to get that fixed. [Sons car I borrow]
Needs inspected. Needs carriage put on...

I'm not sure how to make a Go Fund me because what do I say?
Although technically it would help the store to become successful to open in more places and move forward to helping homeless families with children. What's on my own nerves is how slow moving this process is.
I battle my own less than humble self as though I am cut out for this. I literally need a wing man [nut in my case lol] who has the ideas to bounce off of and mine off them.
And at this point, the cash because I'm tapped.
I've worked a separate job for a few years now, but it's frustrating. IF the Lord is testing me, and I pray not, or teaching me patience... I don't know.
But I told my son... "See how bad it is? Well my dear this - this is how we gain empathy for the homeless."
[Although it's been my whole life and honestly how I was always the worker bee. Never got a chance to hunker down and go to school to completion because paying bills for self and others]

I used to struggle about lacking humility and how Saints didn't complain.
Then I was thinking: Wait, I am anonymous so it's not attention seeking... right?

O wait some of ya'll on my Fbook.

Scratch that. I don't know if I am Saint material really. But it's something I would like... I mean a happy death and all. I don't think I am otherwise noteworthy ... just want a happy death. [And for my loved ones]

Sorry to hear of your continued struggles. One thing they must have , are food pantries nearby. At least you will have food on the table. Not sure about your geographic area but in Massachusetts there are laws protecting citizens from being cut off from utilities., especially in the winter. Look into it.

lord I pray that you will provide food, shelter and utilities for warrior Angel.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
Apparently in PA they don't care. One year my electric was shut off in early March. [Cold stuff] Because evidently you need electric to run the gas furnace.
I been robbing Peter to pay Paul. But then Peter went broke... so there's that. Paul's not forthcoming either.

So I did make a go fund me.
And I'm guessing the story is ok. Because if I were to gather enough, for now anyway, I'd be giving some away to Catholic Charities for people who need it ASAP and not for dollar energy.
