ohh sorry bout that was pointing at rosary prayer and hail mary is not a prayer made by even those angels but made by manHe said to not use vain repetitions. You seem to assume that all other prayers that have some repitition are some in vain. Scripture doesn’t say that. Personally, I don’t say the rosary, but I certainly pray some prayers that aren’t spontaneous. I do both. The book of Psalms is one of my favorite prayer books. Jesus prayed some prayers from Psalms. Was he wrong for doing that? The heathens which Jesus referenced “babbled” empty phrases, thinking that having more words in prayer would be more powerful. That’s the core part of the verse. Don’t just babble meaningless words with the thought that it will make it more powerful. The prayer we pray most in my tradition is “Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner”, while going though knots on a prayer rope. It allows us to pray deeply. It isn’t saying it just to say it. That would be vain repetition - not praying it with the heart. Singing a hymn without meaning it or a worship song without praying it also is vain repetition. Even just spontaneous words of prayer without meaning it or contemplating on it fits the meaning of the babbling Jesus referenced (see the Greek).

Just a cautionary comment. Be careful with incense, both it's source and use or intent if you will. You don't want to invite some pagan ritualistic demon into your presence. I assume not anyway. IE you should know what you're doing with it in a Christian way if there even is such a thing. For instance, pagans or white witches would clear their house with sage smoke ( incense), speaking spirits away. That sounds innocent, except the house is now stripped of even protection from our side of the fence. You would do far better to speak the name of Jesus all through your house instead in that case and forget the smoke show. Just an example of what not to do with incense.
You may not realize it but some of these old traditions in churches are throw overs that came right out of paganism.

Of course, that's the warning, you can use this stuff incorrectly accidentally ! You want to watch where your supply comes from and how it is used etc. There are many companies out there these days that supply this stuff who are new age based or old eastern culture based. Do you want to buy incense from someone who practices Buddhism or some other even worse religion like white or even dark witchcraft and such ? Listen, what does the church do with incense, and lets start with during lent ? They use ( or they did last I knew) incense and cleanse the church of all things spiritual during Holy week going into Good Friday. I can remember walking into the Catholic church ( I was a practicing Catholic for 29 years of my life) during this time and feeling the emptiness there. How about ash Wednesday ? They use ash of burned incense to mark your forehead with the intent or symbolism of showing your Christianity. A funeral ? They chant all around the casket putting up incense smoke . All channeled correctly, it doesn't take much to make the wrong intent with this stuff and all the worse with the wrong unclean supplies. Would you want smoke in your house from incense supplied by a witch ? Would you even want it unburned in your house ?But they weren't the ones saying that incense can have magickal properties based on who made it or where it was made, or that one can accidentally send away "spiritual protection". Your post was the one saying those things. That is magick and pagan superstition.
