Upper Room Daily Devotional Guide

Just curious if anyone else is a regular reader of these? I have seen them at every Methodist church I've visited and enjoy the ones I've read. Glad the Methodist church has a dedicated devotional.

I am JC... I mean, I may miss a few days, then catch back up -- but UPPER ROOMS been around for decades and decades -- I like the small size ones

I never saw them at any of the Nazarene congregations I attended or visited. I will have to check it out.

Are hard copies carried by local congregations or do I have to order it online?

Hard copies have been at all the churches in my area that I've visited - have been to about 6 Methodist churches here. Just assumed they were carried by most of them.

They do have a website as well - and they have a daily devotional online to read without cost.

Nazarenes have Reflecting God for their devotional.

I signed up for both the "Upper Room" and "Reflecting God" email devotionals.

They are a bit much combined, but both seem to be quite good.

I like the little paper UPPER ROOM's -- there is always cover art -- and a page inside explaining the cover picture. This issue was Pharoah's daughter finding Moses in the water

I may have just saved a couple doggies from an untimely end in the middle of a neighborhood street. Reminded me of the story of the gentleman at the grocery store. Right place, right time. Thank you, Lord!

TheGoodLight -- the doggie-saver!!

Today's reminded me of having rheumatic fever as a child, being laid up for months at home -- and people from church brought presents.

One was a Bible story coloring book in the form of a scroll

I missed the Platypus story...looks like I'm really missing out

There's a few times when I'm done reading them that I removed the front cover/art if I found it inspirational enough and tucked in my little journal where I try to keep inspirational stuff.

Little pup-pups! One's a little girl beagle, and the other looks like a boxer to me, though I'm not 100% sure on the latter. I remember the neighbor introducing me to the former, who took a liking to me right away. Sweet little thing.

Today's devotional is also right up my alley, and was right in line with what I was thinking before I even read it. I have been meaning to narrow my daily to-do lists to focus on what's most important and how what gifts and callings I may have can be best concentrated. Good, good stuff.
