  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I could be wrong...... but it is my strong suspicion that
one of the reasons why so many Protestant Theologians seem to
be somewhat scared of near death experience accounts is that after
somebody who is technically Protestant studies hundreds of them they
may begin to think somewhat along the lines of this:

Your Purgatory idea seems more accurate than heaven vs hell?

It's mind boggling how many people think Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are the same thing.

It is symbolic. Neither the RCC or the Orthodox have exclusive rights to the Holy Spirit.

John 4:34 (WEB) Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”

I don’t believe that our salvation is contingent on having a perfect understanding of God’s Word but more on trusting in Christ and a devotion to serving God.

The very fabric of the two are what makes them to be oil and water.

The Catholic church put out a theology and set of rituals and rules based on that.

The Protestants.. declared them to be in error... and protested.

You're not going to bring that together.

It is founded on a disagreement.

Yep, I don't think Christ cares if your RCC or Protestant.... Did you accept Him or deny Him.
