I just dont see how anyone can think that after a person is saved that they could mess-up and lose their salvation.Christ payed for all the saved sinners sins past-present-future.That would be saying Christ did not pay for all sins.Dont give me {Hebrews 6:4-6} because if it teaches that you can lose your salvation it also teaches that you can never get it back.

God bless.

I agree with you. Once saved, always saved. Sure, you might stray, but jesus still loves you and you will be welcome home.

You got so many out there that is trying to help God keep them saved when this totally contradicts Scripture.{Ephesians 2;8-9}It is God that saves and keeps us saved and we can not undo Gods work {example} try uncreating the work that God has done creating the world.

God bless.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I'd say that covers everything...

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

The "keeping" of salvation is in God's hands not ours.

So, yeah. You're dead-on.

Should probably also toss in:

John 10

27. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28. and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29. "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
30. "I and the Father are one."

Hello all,

My name is Matt and I'm new to the forums. I've been reading on them for quite some time and thought it might be awesome to join in on some of this to help others and myself grow in Christ. My thought on eternal security is that it is completely real and not just a "Baptist Doctrine" but a Biblical one. I say that because once you are saved your salvation is out of your hands. Jude 1 says "To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ" And even later in the same book in verse 24 the statement is made "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before the glorious presence without fault and with great joy."

Just something I thought would be helpful

Your Brother in Christ
