Trump’s Spiritual Adviser Quasi-Confesses to Molesting 12-Year-Old Girl

The pastor of one of the country’s largest churches—and who Donald Trump once named as a spiritual adviser—has admitted to “inappropriate sexual behavior” with a woman who says he sexually abused her when she was just 12 years old.

On Friday, Cindy Clemishire told The Wartburg Watch, a religious watchdog blog, that Robert Morris, the pastor of Texas’ Gateway Church, asked her to come into his room when he stayed with her family for Christmas in 1982. She was 12 and he was 20 at the time. She said Morris molested her and then ordered her not to say anything about his behavior “because it will ruin everything.” The abuse continued for years before Clemishire confided in a close friend, prompting Morris’ wife to find out and Morris to step down from the ministry, according to the report.

Maybe Trump got a little too much advice from this pastor?

I heard about this today, from a Christian YouTuber, who condemned Pastor Morris' actions. This stuff is scary. Gross...

Reminds me of this creepy teacher from a 26 episode anime, but 1000x worse (Mr. Kimura - Azumanga Daioh, Duration = 7 seconds). Luckily, Mr. Kimura only got a few minutes of airtime over the entire series.

No surprise to me. I'm sure it happens a lot more with church leaders, foster care and kid friendly programs. Child rapists and abuser's love these type of places.

Pedophiles are very motivated. That’s why they seek children out where they have ACCESS. It’s sickening and NOT something I ever want to think about.

The actions of one of Trump’s spiritual-advisors should not reflect anything negative about our 45th President, this reeks of guilt-by-association that I decried in 2008 when it was Obama and Jeremiah Wright, it wasn’t right then, it ain’t right now.

I see it as (besides the guilt-by-association) “piling-on”, Mister Trump has had a hard couple of months, this doesn’t not look good; some guy was bad and he knows Trump somewhat, that’s the entirety of the “story”.

When/if Mister Trump falls from grace, it’ll be by his own doing…he doesn’t “need help”.

WFAA: Texas megachurch pastor admits past inappropriate behavior with ‘young lady’ after accusation of molesting 12-year-old

“When I was in my early twenties, I was involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady in a home where I was staying. It was kissing and petting and not intercourse, but it was wrong. This behavior happened on several occasions over the next few years,” the pastor said in his statement.

Morris’ behavior was “brought to light” in 1987 while he was a pastor at Shady Grove Church in Grand Prairie, which has since become one of Gateway Church’s 11 locations, WFAA reported.

“In March of 1987, this situation was brought to light, and it was confessed and repented of. I submitted myself to the Elders of Shady Grove Church and the young lady’s father. They asked me to step out of ministry and receive counseling and freedom ministry, which I did. Since that time, I have walked in purity and accountability in this area,” Morris said in his statement, adding he and his wife met with the survivor and her family in 1989.

Well, if her dad says it's okay, who am I to complain?
