The emotion of illegal immigration overshadows rationality. The irony I cannot get past is a bunch of fiscal conservatives who cry for reduced government spending want to spend a trillion dollars on doing away with these people. They don't take into account the jobless void they will leave not to mention the giant hit the GDP will take, thus making the situation even worse.
Honestly, you remind me of those black people who are still mad because their ancestors were brought here as slaves. Even though all of that was over a very long time ago...and they have attained "equal rights" with all that entails. And now, we have them shooting and killing police officers for no apparent reason
The cost to hire, train, equip, and pay them will be more in the long run than simply building a fence. Does the average person from Wisconsin understand that there is really nothing at the border except mostly barren desert?I'm imagining something like the East-West German border during the Cold War, continuous chainlink fence and an infantryman every 50 metres.
Don't criticise honesty. Why, oh why, oh why, would you write this down for all to see? It does explain a lot though.
That Canadian 'illegals' aren't really a problem.
Well, admittedly, hang around the fort NDNs, like those who have casinos and take money from the government, have always been a problem and an embarrassment.
That's why I keep asking about it. This idea "well we'll just build a fence, and have the Army look after it" is, with the best will in the world, a touch naiive, shall we say?The cost to hire, train, equip, and pay them will be more in the long run than simply building a fence.
Again I must mention that more than half of the illegals have come over legally, and did not have to sneak in.
It is the right argument to make. That's why I keep asking about it.
I'm confused. Canadian illegals are not a problem? I thought the issue was illegal immigration. If illegal immigrants aren't the problem, what is the problem? Mexicans?
I'm not even making an argument, simply asking a question. The defensiveness in the face of which does rather speak volumes. It is the right argument to make.
Illegal Canadians are counted in the thousands, not the millions. They also don't overwhelm our hospitals, schools, and jails.
Do Mexicans "overwhelm our hospitals, schools, and jails."?Illegal Canadians are counted in the thousands, not the millions. They also don't overwhelm our hospitals, schools, and jails.

So, would you be okay with illegal immigration in moderation?
Do Mexicans "overwhelm our hospitals, schools, and jails."?
Like really? Does this actually happen?
Don't criticise honesty.

This is why.

And this is why
In the name of the seven hells...don't we have enough going on in our country as it is?
Do we really need to import more problems?
