  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A deep and humbling renewal in ministry. While I've been preaching in our netowrk of churches for some time, the process to officially transfer my orders was just completed on Friday; and I celebrated the Eucharist for the first time in four years this past Sunday.

Here's another big welcome to GE. You mentioned your thanks for life, spiritual and otherwise, and I had this Scripture on my mind when reading your post:

John 10:9-11 KJV I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.


As Christians, we have life more abundantly in Jesus Christ.

i was blessed in extraordinary ways by hearing the testimony of Anne Rice, on how she gave her life to Christ, and is now living as a daughter of the Most High God, and sister in Christ!!

yes, the very same one....i just saw her give her testimony of how she accepted Jesus the Christ as her Saviour this morning on the 700 Club. I was surprised, but then delighted at what she said. It blessed me beyond words.
