First off, I would have a hard time believing that the idea and impetus for this even did not come from the White House. How many other times in our history has a 'news' broadcast been done from the white house?

Secondly, what does it matter who thought of it? Does it matter if Obama thought of it, or one of his handlers, or his aides. Does it matter even if it was ABC's idea?

The reality is pretty much all of the major media have been stooges for the left for quite some time. ABC is just making it a little more official.

Lets think about a couple things...

12 months ago, heck even 8 months ago, everyone not self titled a conservative, including the major media were actively portraying Bush as everything from an idiot to the second coming of Hitler because of his various policies. The coverage of this was constant and universally negative. Every day we saw images of doom and gloom in Iraq, constant focus on how 'badly' things were going.

Now, flash forward to the present. Obama has continued virtually EVERY ONE of Bushes policies. The only departure has been the closing of Gitmo, but even that is all show and no substance since the detainees are simply being relocated to a new island prison... at massive cost no less.

The very things that people were calling Bush hitler and an idiot over, are the exact same things that Obama has continued to do. Has anyone in the major media even raised this point? No.

Then take a look at the coverage from Iraq and Afghanistan.. what do we see? virtually nothing, and when we do see anything, its all good. What changed over night that suddenly the coverage of Iraq and Afghanistan is so different? The answer is the only thing that has changed is the man sitting in the oval office. No policy has changed, no major events have changed, the situation hasn't significantly changed. Yet the coverage is totally different.

The situations in Iran, Pakistan, and North Korea have rapidly deteriorated, in fact, but do we hear about this every minute of every day? No, we here very little about it. What we hear is guys like Keith Oberman saying that he thinks Iran and North Korea are scared of Obama? On must ask exactly what world he lives in.

How about the economy... I don't blame Obama for the current situation. Obviously it was in the making long before he took office. However, since he took office he has spent TRILLIONS of dollars on economic recovery plans which have literally DONE NOTHING.

We are in the worst economic crisis since the great depression and what do we hear about this on the news? Constant talk about how things are looking good, and recovery is just around the corner!

The media does not question Obama on anything. They don't critically examine his policies, nor the results of those policies. They practically worship the ground he walks on.

Wether that is his idea, or theirs really doesn't matter because the effect is the same.


Obama, in an interview prior to the election, outlined the beliefs that drive him. His primary focus was the belief that we are all connected and we all have responsability to each other and to our community to build a better community.

This sounds great, but it is also virtually the text book definition of totalitarianism.

Most people associate totalitarianism with dictatorship. That is the general meaning of the word today.
However the word totalitarianism was coined in the 1920's by Musolini to describe his new fascist utopia. What he described as totalitarianism was a nation where the society, the community encompassed the totality of life. The community was central and every part of everyone's life was tied to the betterment of the community.
The core idea here is that the individual's rights are subservient to the good of the community. No one has rights against the community because the good of the community supercedes everything else.

Another halmark of fascism is corporatism, basically the idea that the government partners with industry and corporations, not directly taking ownership, but directing them as the government determines is best for the nation/community.
Hmmm... sound familiar?

Another interesting halmark of fascist movements is that they have, in every historical case, been "youth" movements. They trumpet the vibrant virtue of youth to change the stagnant society and usher in a new and better day. Conversely they attack and ridicule anything and anyone who is seen as old.
How does this compare to the media literally scorning and mocking the age of republican leaders? Seriously, in our day and age when agism is a crime in the work place, how is it that the media gets away with literally mocking people publically for nothing other than being old, and implying that older politicans are incapable?

How about this one, prior to his election as President, friends of Obama in chicago proposed a system of mandatory community service in which young people would be required by law to go to government run boot camps to be trained for community service and then required to do a certain number of hours of community service prior to entering the work force or going to college.
Since Obama took office congress passed a bill creating a committee on volunteerism to promote community service volunteerism. One of the specific tasks given to the committee was to examine the feasability and possible methods for establishing a mandatory community service system for "young people".

Maybe we can call them the Obama youth?
