  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was devorced for over 7 years when i met amy. At first we met and things kind of fell into place, but shortly after we got married that was when problems arise that i didnt noticed before. i made one little mistake, which has to do with watching a inappropriate video on youtube, and now she is holding everything over my head As if i am not trustworthy. I am having second thoughts in our marriage as if i wished i never met her in the first place. Anyone who has ever been married knows what i am talking about regrets and second thoughts. I thought i know what love is but i Am not certain anymore. IF you believe in marriage and second chances please pray for me as i try to work out my differences with my wife and not give up. Thanks

I'll respond but I won't mince words. If you divorce and remarry difficulties are to be expected (you no indication that your first wife was deceased). You are still married to your first wife in God's eyes.
I know that sounds unkind and lacking compassion, but I believe He wants us to speak Truth.

How do you know his first wife didn't commit adultery? If she did, he was free to remarry....

brother, if you have not seen the movie, "Fireproof," you might want to watch it. i think it might help. it involves something called the 'love dare' which you can buy at Christian bookstores. it is a marriage saver. God bless you and your wife.

Praying for you. That would be so hard I'm sure. Praying she will forgive you, as we have made mistakes and it should not be held over our heads. We need to forgive and not bring it up again. God loves you! God bless and keep you.
