  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jimmy. A true man answer!

I think my cats loving me is beautiful. They have chosen to trust me and love me and I love when they curl up of their own accord. Out of the hundred places in the house for them to sleep, they choose my lap and they don't just sleep, they also purr and love on me. I truly thank God for making cats and for making mine so nice!

Ah, memories...that's a good one Chrissy...

I agree...havin' memories of my Grandparents, really beautiful...great times...I can still remember their voices...

Yep, I was thinking about my Nanna last nite, and I can still see her cheeky smile. Was thinking how even when she was in the nursing home, she still loved the little things. My sister and I would go visit her, and we would do her nails for her...and she loved us plucking her chin hairs! I used to say to her, "Doesnt that hurt heaps?", she would say "Nope, I find it relaxing"! My sis would sit one side of her, and I would sit the other. I LOVE that I have those memories. They are truly precious.

Ah Tins, be with them as much as you can...learn from them...hug them, love them and truly appreciate them...trust me on this one...

I do try! I am so grateful they are very close to me geographically. We have dinners and stuff all the time...birthdays...celebrations, etc.

I agree with all of the above. My Nanna and Pa were amazing people. Ive even got letters from when I was a child, that my Nanna sent to me when we lived too far away to see her and Pa regularly.

I remember a counselor I was seeing once asked me, who was the most positive male in my life, and I said, my Pa. He was quiet, respectful, and you just felt safe with him. He didnt say much, but when he did, you listened, because he was a wise man.

Im glad you get to spend so much time with your Grandparents, Tins. You are making memories, that are worth far more than gold.
