Obviously, Photini disagrees with that opinion.....
Suit yourself.
It is beyond me how any Christian could know anything about Obama and the platform of the Democratic Party and support either.
A vote for him is a vote for evil, and that is the truth.
The only excuse I can see for supporting Obama is ignorance.
Orthodoxy doesn't tell you for whom to vote or which party to support, but if you get its principles the conclusions are plain.
Considering that the Orthodox Church hasn't said anything about Obama being "evil" or "the anti-Christ" etc. etc., perhaps we shouldn't judge. Frankly, I agree with Photini. One of the huge turn-offs about Roman Catholicism for me is the incredible political focus.
I think we need to simmer down here. The OP is about a window in a church. Many african-american churches hold certain black-american figures who were civil rights leaders or national figures in high esteem and sort of as saints. Quite a few ministers regularly quote them in their sermons. One of the more popular is W.E.B. Du Bois who i think is portrayed in the lower part of the window.
So, you are waiting for the Orthodox Church to make some sort of official pronouncement before your own knowledge of Christ tells you that it is wrong to support a politican who holds the very evil views Obama holds?
On the one hand it sounds like you need such pronouncements, yet you say it's a turn-off when the RCC supplies what you seem to need.
What is it about abortion and late-term abortion you find hard to place in the category of evil?
Is the gay agenda another thing you think Orthodox Christians can "agree-to-disagree" on?
We shouldn't judge? Are you joking?
By the way, I never said Obama is the Antichrist. I said he is a type and forerunner of Antichrist.
You folks are really shocking me. The inability to call evil what it is is not spirituality or wisdom or moderation.
If Obama can dupe even Christians like this, then he is more of a type and forerunner of Antichrist than even I imagined.
Isn't Harriet Tubman kind of an odd choice for the position of honor at the top? I feel like in these sorts of displays Martin Luther King Jr. is usually given the most prominent place.....
I hold the same beliefs in morals as you Maximus. I just have different expectations from politicians.
I would think so too. That is kind of strange.
EW Yuck descending into politics, disband disband!
Psalm 140:3
θοῦ, Κύριε, φυλακὴν τῷ στόματί μου καὶ θύραν περιοχῆς περὶ τὰ χείλη μου.
Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.
lol I should take my own advice
Yeah, I didn't see Rosa Parks, either, which seems strange. Or maybe I just didn't notice. It isn't a particularly clear piece of art.

Okay, I looked and she is on there. Halfway down the left (our left) side.
Oh, well that's good at least.
I don't expect them to be perfect, but I won't support one who is actually evil and a promoter of evil.
